Whoa, my New Years post for last year was overly optimistic.

I guess in 2011, I lost my hope. Not that I had much before this year, I think just as I get older the reality of “life” just gets clearer and the realization and struggles of fighting to live a conscious life is an uphill battle. That sounds pretty cynical, but I mean it in a total matter-of-fact, but I’m okay with it way.

So intentions/goals for this year include:
- trying to get back this so called “hope” or maybe I could call it “youthfulness”
- try to be less of a slob
- be less frumpy
- be nicer
- eat healthier
- be less of a control freak
- procrastinate less
- get better at the banjo
- meet a hunny
- make more $$$, doing something I enjoy more than what I do now

Since I’ve been into archiving since my teen angst, I’ve always had a medium to look back at my goals in hindsight. And lemme tell you, regardless of if you know it or not, they do shape your reality.

I bought a SLR with my Christmas money. It’s about time. I do way too much media related things to be always using a crappy point and shoot. I also bought a tripod and with this gear we headed out to rural Saskatchewan to film a music video in a ghost town.

I’m working on final edits and have to go back out there this week to get some more footage. Things are looking good, I’m just trying hard to do a good job.
